We meet you as the best and closest friends of us.
Hallelujah! I pray that God’s peace and joy overflow abundantly in the lives of all ministers and lay members of the Korean Methodist Church.
Despite these challenging times, the Korean Methodist Church has continued to transform and nurture our world. As we approach our 140th anniversary of mission work, it’s time to reconnect with our fundamental purpose and strengthen our commitment to social holiness while reflecting on our church’s historic journey with this nation.
To achieve this, we must embrace continuous renewal. The path to renewal can only be found in Scripture, as any change not rooted in God’s Word risks losing its way. We must also stay attuned to our times. The Methodist Church can only renew itself when it understands today’s world, and through this renewal, we can be agents of transformation in society.
Moreover, unity must be our cornerstone. Throughout turbulent times and threats of division, the Methodist Church has consistently chosen unity, walking together and growing together. Now, we aspire to be more than just fellow travelers – we seek to become a sacred community sharing one dream, discerning God’s will through active listening and dialogue, and deeply understanding one another’s hearts.
Together, let us embrace a future filled with hope, and may God’s abundant grace flow through us as we advance together to build His true kingdom.
